What makes each of those listings fakes?
Important question & yes - should be stated along with the link upfront...
1 - claiming to be 'blue' paper. Doesn't look like it. 99.99999% chance it isn't. Would need a cert. Extraordinarily rare stamp - when it is real!
2 - Based on stated CV, claiming to be a 'mint' #77. (Notice he doesn't say 'mint' or 'used' in description?!??) Top margin - between the '15s' - looks suspicious. Like a cleaned cancel. (Plus some black ink on some perfs on left?) Also says 'OG' but no pix of reverse...
3 - Similar to #2 for a Scott 98. Cancel on middle/top margin & right margin - tried to clean. Supposed to be a grilled stamp - you should show the grill on the back!
4 - Claiming to be a 478. Should be perf 10 & unwatermarked. Not obvious it is fake, but not obvious it is mint either. No pix of 'OG' again. And don't know about you, but I've never heard of a 'natural perf dent'???? Perfs definitely look doctored on top, left, & bottom...
5 - Similar to #3. Need to see grill on back. But not an 'obvious' fake...
6 - They need to trim a few more of the perf holes off the top!!
Most interesting to me - the new 'favorite' words of the week - "Fresh" & "Neat" - ?!?
(Does 'neat' mean it isn't messy? Or that it is a 'cool' stamp???)
Reededge said 'larceny' - which is different than 'fake' as described for each. But neither one is acceptable!!
