On February 6, 1960 Panama issued a three-stamp set of airmails to commemorate World Refugee Year (UN). To prepare the set, three values from the 1953 airmail set commemorating the 50th anniversary of the country's independence were overprinted identically. The high-value one balboa stamp (Sc #C229) is shown here. The other two stamps are overprinted in red.  |

This January 24, 1981 three-stamp set (SG #s396-8) of Singapore commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. International currency symbols are shown. Two of them (DM and Fr) are contractions of words, while the other three (yen, dollar and pound) are symbols representing words.  |
