On February 15, 1967 Finland issued this ,40 markka stamp (Facit #623) to commemorate its association with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). Finland was not a full member of the organization until 1986. The burelage-like pattern in the background resembles scales indicating even distribution, IMO.  |

Here is the 40 ngultrum value (Sc #1216b) from Bhutan's April 27, 1999 souvenir sheet of two stamps. The sheet commemorates the IBRA '99 International Stamp Exhibition held in Nuremberg, Germany, with the IBRA emblem/logo dominating this stamp's design.  |

This overprinted 1700 peso stamp (Sc #1338) of Argentina was issued on April 22, 1982 the invasion and occupation of the Falkland Islands on April 2, 1982. Overprint says "The Malvinas are Argentine". The Argentine occupation lasted 10 weeks, with their surrender taking place on June 14, 1982.  |
