Could someone please tell me the difference between scott Numbers: 1898a and 2228?

I can't spot what's different about the two.

See Scott catalogue #2228 Reduced Size under 2228b the comment " On No. 2228 "Stagecoach 1890's" is 17 3/4 mm long. On No. 1898A 19 1/2 mm long."

This image is 2228 with an 1898A inset with a red border. Note that 1898A has the joint line typical of the Cottrell press and that the stagecoach is taller for 1898a. A good way to quickly tell the difference is to take an inexpensive regular stamp of either (write which one it is on the back), cut it in half vertically, and use it to measure the stamp(s) you're trying to identify.
