You've already asked about these elsewhere. These are common stamps that were a staple of schoolboys' and girls' albums between the wars, after the German jnflation period.

Thankyou sorry just started collecting and have inherited 40 stamps albums and have recently moved and found these boxes full of stamps as my Grandmother was a avid stamp collector and when she passed away a few years ago she left them all to me. I am going through all the stamp that she collected from australia and all over the world.

The German hyperinflationery stamp issues sparked my interest in collecting Germany many years ago. It also compelled me to read some books on that time period in Europe and Germany.

Your stamps are denominated in thousands and millions of marks. At the end of this period , in November of 1923, there are stamps denominated in billions of marks.

Hyperinflationery stamps and currency can also be found from post-WWII Hungary, late Yugoslavia (early 1990s), and modern Zimbabwe.

Hi, thanks for the advice.I have recently just moved and Nan left them to me when she passed away a few years ago and they have been in boxes for years. It a large job as my Nan was a avid collector and there are so many of them to go through but its been interesting as my Nan has left little notes and remarks in the albums. The collection start from late 1800 and are from all around the world so I have a big task and there are alot of them.

Yes we have, they are common German, and second photo...Russian, stamps. You should see if your local library has a Scott Worldwide catalog and you will learn you can identify them on your own. I'm sure there are other web based search tools also you can use.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. In going to buy a catalogue because I have way too many stamps to keep searching dead end links. Some of them are good but some are just a waste of time. But the library sounds like a good alternative in the mean time! I appreciate that. Abd I think I've looked on stamp world. I'll have to go back and give it another look. One more question (for now Lol) does this place allow you to "add friends" to keep track of who you talk to and make acquaintances with? If so how do I do it and could I add you guys to my list??

For any of your German stamps that are from 1872-1945, feel free to check out my website. If you're trying to ID a stamp, you can use the "Search the Collection" feature on the left-hand side to try to find it.

You can include as much or as little info as you have. Make sure you check the box to include holes in the collection to account for the fact that I may not have a copy in my collection.
