In 1955 The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, London, commissioned the Italian artist Pietro Annigoni to paint a portrait of the Queen in her Order of The Garter Robes.

If you look to the little lake to the left side of the Queen, you will see a boat. In the boat is Mr Annigoni.

The portrait was used on British Commonwealth stamps many many times. This thread will show them.

Well, as the previous thread hasn't had an entry for circa eight years, and is not an alphabetical Wiki, which will have all issued stamps, I shall continue.

(Oh, and I also checked with site Admin.)

The next set are almost identical to the immediately previous set. The difference is the perforation. The SG numbers are identical bar the addition of 'A'.
