I am becoming more and more skeptical buying imperfs and part perfs. Does this one pass the smell test?

Margins definitely look wide enough to be genuine.

It's not just the margins, it's also the impression and the shade. Even on a PC screen this example is an easy stamp to identify.

Not automatically on first issues, there was so much trouble with the perforating machines that there are some very wide stamps out there (and some very narrow as well).
