I'm waiting on two shipments, neither of them an eBay purchase, both of printed matter. One ordered 8-15 from a bookseller the other a week after from a magazine dealer, both in the UK. The book seller tells me they are hearing from a lot of their customers about long delays in receipt.

Any idea what might be happening? Just wondering, I've not ever seen this sort of delay from the UK.

Your patience will be tested.
I purchased a book from Clive, (Canada) here on this forum.
It took 4 months to reach me in Australia.

All fingers point to US customs. I buy a bit of my KGVI material from the UK and the average delivery time is around 3 weeks.

The issue may be closer to home. For the last week we've received just little dabs of pizza coupons and political ads every day. That and catalogs. From past experience our local carrier office does this when a regular carrier is off on vacation, apparently using the sub to work off accumulated lower class mail. I think it's against their regs but I know they do it.

I have had the same experience with mail from the Netherlands - it can get held up by Homeland Security for quite a length of time
