Rod,

Do you collect these? If so, do you have pages for them or do you keep them in a stockbook?

Same question goes with all other entities such as Staffa, Nagaland, etc.

Hi Mirman,

To be succinct, there is nothing that I do not collect Philatelically speaking.
Caveat.
I do not specifically purchase these types of stamps / labels / Ephemera, it is just what passes my desk.
If I buy a "suitcase of unwanted stamps" at an auction, then whatever is inside, is collected. (Nowadays that is no longer possible, "junk boxes" in Western Australia are now fetching $300 and upwards, so the holiday is over)

I make pages (very basic ones) when I can find the time.

I do not use stockbooks, I found them too mixed to be of any use.
I find it better to have a page (blank with a pencilled country) in a sheet protector, alphabetically sorted in a binder.

That way I can put my finger on the most abstruse label, and its location, in minutes.
The Holy Grail as a worldwide collector, is attempting to be organised........

Rod,

Thank you for your answer and for sharing these pages.

I have yet to organize all these marvelous 'treasures' that fall partly or completely outside the scope of the Scott catalogues.

I have not checked yet but have you found lists or catalogues for these issues? I know that there is something about Lundy island but I have not really looked into it.

Davaar, Eynhallow, Staffa, Summer Isles etc.. no catalogues for these labels,
there are web links for sellers of these articles.

Strike Mail, Rail Locals etc, check out "Seahorse Philatelic Publishers"
They do CDRoms of this material.

14,000 Local stamps apparently on 1 CD

Not aware of quality, in Word format which can be clunky,
I have some Chrstmas seals CDRoms similar, and are very awkward to use.
At circa $50 -$70 a bit of a risk, unless any members here have tried them.

Maybe you did not notice but you can browse a few sample pages. Seems very clear and well laid out assuming all pages follow the same format.

There is also a Trucial states CD.

This is great info, thanks a million.

Christmas stocking stuffer??? LOL.

The finest Trucial States Catalogue is Michel (Gulf States) without peer.
Again expensive, mine was a gift from an SCF member.

The updated version of Stanley newman's book on Lundy is Stamps and Postal History of Lundy Island edited by Jon Aitcheson.

My fifth edition is dated 2009.

It's very good and I recommend it to anyone who collects Lundy stamps.
