I recently bought the PSS Town and Type catalog and I was wondering what the numbers behind some of the precancel types mean.

For example Akron, Ohio:



The number 29 for cancel 161

In parentheses are FOOTNOTES that are explained in the introductory section of the T&T catalog. They can be confusing so ask here if confused !
