Along the lines of Dear Doctor correspondence from drug manufacturers marketing products to physicians...

I came across a few First Day Covers which were used to advertise medications. The attempt to connect the topic of the stamps to the medication being advertised seems like a stretch but the drug manufacturer put forth their best effort.

Nowadays drug manufacturers market directly to consumers. The TV ads should be familiar to all of us.







This one is even more of a stretch...

Just thought I'd add these two pieces which are remotely related. Both pieces are early attempts at marketing products directly to physicians:











As unusual as it sounds both products remain in use today in the field of medicine.
