I renewed yesterday on the site, and ordered some stamps from the Stamp Store with no issues. I just checked, and had no issue on the site (Chrome browser)

Sounds like the issue is the cache in the browser. Please try the following steps: 1. Open your browser and type in the address https://stamps.org2. After the page loads, press the CTRL key and the F5 key at the same time. This will erase what your computer has stored for that web address and reload the page. 3. Open a new window in your browser and type in the address https://classic.stamps.org4. After the page loads, press the CTRL key and the F5 key at the same time. This will erase what your computer has stored for the classic APS web site and reload the page. 5. Close the window with https://classic.stamps.org open. 6. In the window with https://stamps.org open, click LOGIN near the top right corner of the window. 7. In the window that opens, enter your email and password, then click LOGIN. 8. If your login is successful, you will now see the MyAPS link in the top menu of the page. 9. Click once on MyAPS to access your member profile. |

Quote: 4. After the page loads, press the CTRL key and the F5 key at the same time. This will erase what your computer has stored for the classic APS web site and reload the page. This is a bit misleading, CTRL key and the F5 key clears the cache only for a single page. Additional other operating systems use different keystrokes (Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R and Linux: F5). Don |

I'll restate my point. The instructions do as they promised. It's one thing to state what you believe might clarify in your mind and maybe someone else's, but the instructions are not misleading. Quote: Indeed it was a cache issue. Dues paid. Glad everything worked out. Thank you for supporting the APS! |

Scott, That is a bunch of crap, I was trying to help clarify a statement that I found a BIT misleading. This is what I get for trying to help. Bad timing on your part, I has just emailed Judy yesterday about renewing my dues. Thanks for helping me make up my mind to not bother trying to support the APS. Don |

Thanks Don - the solution works - so I thought I'd post it here. Please accept my apologies if that put you off.

Don: I'm disappointed in your response, from yesterday, 10:36 AM. I've served almost continuously on non-profit boards of directors since 1974; some with staff and some without. I'm on 2 such boards right now, including that of a local foundation. No one expects an executive director to know everything that goes on among subordinate staff, such as your e-mail exchange.
Several years ago, when I turned 65, APS generously gave me an unexpected gift of life membership, meaning no more dues (joined in Feb., 1974). I "cover that" with contributions twice a year; for Mighty Buck and year end.
I hope you'll reconsider your support of APS. If not, I'll add $45 to my year-end contribution next month to offset your dropout. |

Life membership is granted for people who joined before 1971(?) who met age (65) and years as a member when they ended the general benefit. Those eligible can pay up to attain life membership (dues times years to 65). I would prefer if the just changed your number to LMXXXXXX where XXXXXX is your original number. |
