Gorgeous, well-designed stamps. Czechoslovakia produced extremely good-looking stamps for decades, one reason I've collected them for years. These are beautiful.

I agree with you Drew, they take a bit of getting used to, but they win you over in the end.
It amazes me how a country (which often happens) tends to maintain a distinct art "style" with their postal emissions over the decades, Czechoslovakia is no different, in fact more so.
I tend to look very closely when I see a new Czech stamp, there is often an intriguing approach.

Hi Rod,

This mark seems to be from the village of Sidonie in the Czech Republic right on the border with Slovakia.

Until 1964 the village was known as Svatá Sidonie.
