From the bowels of The Bargain Boxes of NOJEX, what should gurgle-up but a postcard of the Oakes ND M E Church c1903, which is still going strong today:

Thanks to Google Earth for the matching contemporary (2013) photograph.

The card is postmarked 19091102 SD Alcester ... ~300 mi South of Oakes ND ... population 807 at the 2010 census.
