The above stamps is not a common stamp but was reasonably widespread in use around Australia.

I have examples used in Queensland, Victoria, Northern Territory and have seen usage in Western Australia.

Does anyone have copies postmarked in South Australia (not including the haxagonal philatelic exhibition cancels)?

Here is the earliest recorded date from my collection, 30 NO 35. April 1936 is cited as the earliest date seen but being printed in September-October 1934, earlier usage is likely.

This stamp also has a distinctive frame plate variety, dot in angle of 'L' of 'AUSTRALIA'.

Apologies for the inverted image, I have uploaded upright and inverted images from my computer but the image shows here inverted regardless.
