I have come across a group of 6 precancelled A155 Franklin 1 cent stamps. They have the dimensions of rotary press stamps, each slightly different than the others in dimensions and each with a seperate bureau precancel origin. All 6 of these stamps have the same perforations, 11 1/2 X 10 3/4. Is anyone able to identify the Scott number for these stamps?
Thanks for pointing that out. 11 x 10 1/2 is close but not dead on. The inconsistent sizes of the images suggests multiple print runs yet consistent perfs. I have been unable to find any comments regarding the different perf counts on 632's. There is also a difference in color, with thosee I have being a darker green than any 632 I saw on eBay.
I need to revise my previous response. As it turns out, after rechecking all the stamps, it is me and the Clearvue Gauge I am using. The gauge has two means of checking perfs. One are sets of diamonds across 2 cm, and the other is stick and ball. Previously I used the diamonds and came up with my original perfs, Redoing them all, using the stick and ball measures all the stamps are 11 x 10 1/2. 632's they are.
