I made a post last night to the "Cachet Catalogs" topic, but as the previous post there was 2014, maybe nobody will see it there, so I am reposting my message here.

In the 1970's, I started collecting cacheted postal card first day covers and have recently searched the Web looking for a database that shows all known cachets for all U.S. postal cards, UX, UY, UXC, UZ. So far, I have found nothing like it anywhere, so I am in the process of creating a postal card cachet catalog. I hope I am not duplicating something that somebody else has already done. Am I?

UXC1 Fleugel cachet, one of 37 cachets I will be showing for this issue.

Thanks for the Welcomes. Referring back to my first post, "I am in the process of creating a postal card cachet catalog" - with scans of those in my own collection and others I have found on the Web.

Does anyone know if anybody else has ever created an in-print or on-line photo catalog showing every known cachet for every issued U.S. Postal Card, UX, UY, UXC and UZ?

So far, I've done 28 Scott numbers showing 356 cachets, a work in progress. This is meant to be a free reference source only, with no valuations, prices or anything at all for sale. Included will be cachet photos, info about each issue and bibliographical references to where more details can be found about each issue in my 1980 UPSS "U.S. Postal Card Catalog" and my 1983-1995 Linn's Stamp Yearbooks. At this time, I do not know where on the Web my Catalog will be installed.

UXC9 and UXC9a by unknown cachetmakers:

PostalCardCachet,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
