Hello...I have recently acquired a number of these covers ,all addressed to a M Bettignies,in Valenciennes France.I also have numerous covers addressed to a H A Wallace in Oldham,UK

Has anyone else found any of these covers ?

They seem to sell regularly on eBay in the $3 to $5 range. I think they are very nice looking covers and you could make a fun collection of them. You could also add in the countless postcards that were created for this exposition.

A very attractive set of 6 stamps. Also love the designs for the 4 joint issue stamps for the 1931 Paris colonial exhibition.

Nicest of all IMO are the mini-souvenir sheets from the various colonies for the 1937 exhibition. Can be found not too expensively and are very attractive indeed. I like the one from Senegal the best.

This is a registered cover from French India with the full set of stamps.It is addressed to a H A Wallace of Oldham ,UK.
I have numerous covers addressed to this individual and am interested to know a little more about this collector.

I am really more interested in finding out more about these covers.I have quite a few and have seen others for sale.Was he/she a collector ?
Or even a dealer ? Maybe some mmembers in the UK might have some ideas ......

I Believe the correct name is H. & A. Wallace. The Oldham address is perhaps his private
home? Anyway I think he recieved thousands of covers from everywhere!!

Thanks very much for that information...very helpful and very interesting.I must admit I had never heard of a dealer by that name in London.
What is strange is the address in Oldham.It may be a home address but Oldham is a long way from London.
As you say,there are lots of covers out there.....
