I purchased this. ben. franklin on Its seems to be unused withouth ink.
Is this a rare piece?

I also purchased 2 cent franklin unused, martha franklin unused, Jefferson unused and at least Kinsley used. They all look sound. I think the later four are common pieces what you think?
Thanks.

It is U85 (drawing) in the Scott catalog - one of six possibilities. None are rare as far as I can tell. You ought to invest in a Scott Specialized catalog.

The envelope is a U379 (U85 Scott drawing, as mentioned).

If you give us the dimensions, we can come up with a more precise catalog ID (UPSS instead of Scott numbering) and value.

I'm guessing size 13, blue-green, with a cat value of $1.50.
