The Local Post Collector's Society (LPCS) hosts an annual trading event for members. The theme this year is the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. I have begun formulating an idea for my Springpatch Local Post. I will be incorporating the council strip of the Abraham Lincoln Council that I am a member of as a Stamp Collecting Merit Badge Counselor and previously as a cub scout & boy scout in my youth. I will also be mentioning this to the scouts I'll be assisting tomorrow to see if they would want to design a stamp for the event. I think this is a great way to promote stamp collecting to the scouting youth.

With sufficient involvement, the young ones will get a kick when they see their final finished stamp!
