Russel probably caused the London epidemic of grey squirrels, after releasing populations in Regent's Park.

It reminds me that I once saw a squirrel in the Regent's Park too!

Ms. Pearl: The world's largest squirrel statue clutches a pecan bigger than your head.

(Is there a pecan stamp? I can only find this!)

https://www.atlasobscura.com/places...irrel-statue

I guess it's erected by a pecan pie company as an advertisement, but anyway it becomes quite a scenery and even has "worshipers", and the "squirrel-inspired snacking needs" is not such a bad idea!

Quote:
In 2015, the squirrel goddess received a facelift in the form of a fresh coat of paint as well as a deck to support her many worshipers. She is available 24 hours a day and while the nearby gift shop has regular business hours, there is an eternally available vending machine outside the shop with fresh, full-sized pecan pies replenished daily for any late night, squirrel-inspired snacking needs.
