Hi Rodney

In XYPlorer response they mentioned RegEx which is a .NET function. I could send you a link to a tutorial but it would confuse you more.

I use RegEx a lot so try this: \bultramar\b
I added a \b at the front. Two \b defines a whole word.

Of the options describe what "failed" ?

Not too many are replying except Postmaster and myself. I suggest we continue by e-mail.

\bultramar\b failed
The result was every stamp ultramar and ultramarine
(Even 2 green stamps I had mistakenly labelled ultramarine)

Solved.
Sheesh...it was so simple, but a good indication how new software has a learning curve, steep for slow learners as myself.

CTRL F
Type name
select "whole words"
Done

I took 40 minutes to just find a way out of the F3 box, all I had to do was to hit F3 again.....sigh.
Anyhow, now I can get to work!
A BIG thanks to all the members whom held my hand, whilst I was fumbling.
