I was curious about this perfin I found on a page of old Swiss stamps.

Does anyone know the background? For example, is it a double letter I, or the number 11?

(Time seems to have added another 'perfin' hole to the main pattern!)

Thanks in advance.

Just a double bar.
Probably Lagerhäuser der Centralschweiz (Warehouse of Central Switzerland) in Aarau.

Thanks, vayolene. I think that must be it. I'm used to looking for letters in perfins!
