I'm a collector who has recently made some very detailed want lists organized by country and scott numbers. I have about 1500 stamps on the list and over 20 countries.
All of the material I need is WW classic.
Looking for recommendations of dealers that accept want lists. I live outside the USA so it is not possible for me to go to shows.
Thank You

If you are looking for British Colony issues, you can check my website. I have 38,000 individual stamp listings which might include some of the ones you are seeking.
There are no pictures of the stamps on the site, but after you select them, I scan the stamps from your order and send the scan. That will allow you to see what you will be getting before deciding to pay for it. |

Contact Michael Ball. A to Z Stamps. Tempe, Arizona.
Extensive inventory. Highly ethical. Fair pricing.
Response can be slow as he is frequently on the road attending shows. |

A & D Stamps. Walnut Creek, California. Jim Dempsey.
Perhaps the largest single-dealer inventory in the USA.

First dealer to support the uploading of a delimited want list file, have software to compare it to their inventory database and then automatically send an quote back to the buyer wins the "Welcome to the 21st Century" award. It is a sad commentary on philatelic technical adoption that dealers have not implemented this kind of support. It is not rocket science but it is a huge opportunity. Software does one thing very well, it automates repetitive tasks just like this; no dealer should have to burn time manually handling want lists in this day and age. Don |

You can always send an email to a dealer. You may not get a response and answer to the question. |

I buy from Don and Pat on a periodic basis. They are frequently in attendance at SoCal area shows. Have found them to have particular strength/depth in Portugal and Colonies as well as British Colonies.
Appreciate that Pat is (was?) herself a collector. And a native of the Azores, I believe. Don is UK expat.
Both genuinely nice people. And offer "better quality" material.

Thank you everyone for your helpful suggestions. I have had some success buying from my lists on the APS stamp store. But a lot of the lower value stuff is just not in there because its not worth the time of the dealers. I agree that a computer program to match inventory to lists would be great. The website http://www.stamps2go.com would be a great place to implement this as they have a lot of the lower value material in great quantities. |

Downtown Stamp Company in New Jersey. Huge stock and will sell stamps individually even if the lowest values. They have a lot of material listed on Hipstamp however it's a fraction of their actual stock. Want lists and approvals are their specialty. Low prices compared to A&D and A to Z. *** Private information removed by Staff. Their name is Nickerson Stamps but I have not had any luck with them. The current owner, who is the son of the original owners, doesn't seem very engaged but I believe they have a big stock. Maybe you'd have more luck with them than I have. |

I agree with Bakechad and Calstamp. D & P has been my go-to dealer in the US for a number of years, for Portuguese colonies. Same issue mentioned about Michael Ball may also apply to D & P: on the road a lot for shows. |

Hi Everyone, This is D & P Stamps and we are appreciative of all the positive notes above. We are happy to always look at want lists. Aaron, I am finding a tremendous amount of material on your list and should be done with it today. I sent you an email yesterday. Im hoping you received it.
Always happy to check inventory for want lists.

Maintaining a Worldwide inventory has to be a huge undertaking plus dealing with people who buy less than your time and postage cost must make this a difficult business to keep going . |
