I started a thread on the World Picture Postcard forum about Cards Cancelled on the Picture Side and got a good education on something called Timbre Cote Vue cards, which were completely new to me. http://goscf.com/t/68191

This seems to be far more common on European picture postcards, but I do have one from the U.S. I'm curious to know if other collectors have any of these American TCV cards in their collections.

I have two U.S. postcards of this sort in my Esperanto collection. Both were written on the same day (3 May 1919) by the same person to the same person. Ms. Hurd had just returned home from a vacation in California, so she mailed these Berkeley and San Francisco cards from Seattle. Both have an arrow indicating that the stamp is on the picture side.

I picked up another one the other day. It seems like TCV card collectors were generally European, with even U.S. cards being sent overseas.

Love the street scene on this one!
