Having no experience with Continental Bank Note ribbed paper, I figure I should ask. Am I guessing right?

Scott 163 with vertical ribbed paper. Unlike other Continental Bank Note Company printings, fine lines in the corner triangles are clear. This may account for someone misidentifying the stamp as a Scott 152, printed by the National Bank Note Company.

Thanks! Am I correct that you are referring to the section between the two arrows. In some 163s I have that area looks white. On this one I can see some very fine lines in there.

Correct. Also, lines in the lighter parts of the other three triangles. See volume 2 of Brookman for a more complete description. The set of books may be downloadable.
