Recently I purchased my first U.S cover dated 1880 5c

What interests me is the recipient of the cover. Founder of the American University of Beirut.

Is there an enclosure? Since this is a pre-printed envelope perhaps it might have been used in a fund-raising effort? Without an enclosure in this or a similar pre-printed cover to this guessing why Bliss had them printed up would be fun.
