Hello members,

I just found this envelope postmark May 1942 from U S. Army. I understand this envelope is from World War II and many things happen during 1942 can you advice if this envelope from the army has any value. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Mara

Nice. The APO #9 ninth infantry division led one of the first US offensive campaigns in WWll in North Africa. Not valuable but to me invaluable history. After all the learning and knowledge is the wonder. Indifferent or secondary to the $$. Unless you paid big bucks for the item.

There are tons of APO covers in collections and on the market, many being spartan and collected either for their designation or their content, and many are of minimal value. That said, your cover has several things going for it: The unusual cachet, the unusual air mail border, and best of all, the pre-printed 'checklist' content. I can't place a dollar figure on it for you...it won't buy you a new car, but it certainly doesn't belong in a $1 box either. Nice find !
