I was at the Winter Berries Forever first day ceremony today. It was a nice event and a huge contradiction as we baked in the Oklahoma heat and talked about winter berries.
My main collecting focus is the postal history of Osage County, Oklahoma. Today's ceremony was also the first time such an event ever happened in my county!
So rather than marking today as a first for this issue, I marked the day as the first for my county. Four stamp designs postmarked at four different Osage County post offices on the first day. It was a fun adventure for my wife and I. This issue will always be special to me!
