You might look for Stanley Gibbons catalogs as well; Pakistan would be included in the Commonwealth one. They might be found in your local library. The Scott worldwide catalogs have been in 6 large volumes for years now and near-new older volumes can be bought reasonably on eBay or Amazon. From the 2019 version (issued in 2018), it's now in 12 less back-breaking volumes. However, most of these will be from the US and the postage will be quite high. You might give dealers in NZ a ring or email to see what they might have.

Join a stamp local club !

You'll pick up old Stanley Gibbons catalogues for a song, even free !
(But Ugh!)
Stay with Scott would be my mantra. Have both if you possibly can.

I've come across two versions of the Pakistan overprint. Wondering if there are known forgeries of the overprint. Any opinions welcome.

I see. The Pakistan handstamp also appears to come in two sizes. The larger variety on the image I posted.

There are a number of local overprints that were created for Pakistan. The overprint you typically see was done at Nasik. The other ones are probably from the various Post Offices that were modifying their stock of Indian stamps for use in the newly created Pakistan. They are certainly collectable. Here are some from my collection on the page below. If you would like to see the whole collection, use this URL

Quite the collection you have. Nice to know there is a wide variety of overprints. Certainly makes collecting them more of a challenge. Thank you for the link. Best reference tool I've seen on these issues.
