Hi all,

Sorting through a box of old postcards I came across this one with the pencilled notation
"Frame line on left variety".

I can see the variety plainly enough but the Australian catalogues I have are not specialised enough
to illustrate it or give any information. I have tried Mr Google but could find nothing.

Does anyone have any further information on this?
All help gratefully received.

Thanks
Ron.

Penguins,

Your stamp looks to be Die I or II (not distinguishable except for subtype IV), subtype III, on Crown over A watermarked paper, 1907-1912, Plate 9, No. 91, 'Left frame indented over 5.0 mm at the centre".

Thanks for that fairdinkum.

Now I know what to look for and we have some good libraries in this neck of the woods so I will search their sites and who knows they may even have a copy.

Not holding my breath but hope springs eternal, and all that.

Regards
Ron

In addition to detailed information on all Queensland issues during the period, the book describes a huge number of flaws but only some of the major ones are illustrated, this not being one of them.
