Here's a Small Queen 37/41 with a pretty significant short transfer at the top.
The stamp is sort of grungy, apologies.

What is a short transfer? I see a little fade in the line...

Moyock13...Are you referring to....

Quote:
SHORT ENTRY
A short entry (also known as short transfer) occurs when the transfer roll impression is not fully entered onto the plate. This could be due to an uneven plate surface, or unequal pressure being applied during the rocking-in. They resemble plate wear, but can be distinguished by the fact that the rest of the impression is deep and clear as it should be

DRY PRINT
This is the dry print, wherein some of the ink remained stuck in the recesses of the engraved plate, instead of being transferred to the paper, leaving unprinted, or white areas, around portions of the design.

Not really sure Robert. My impression is a short entry at the top more on the left than right. I wouldn't know where or who to have verify whether it's a Dry Print or a Short Entry.

I sent this to both Re-Entries.com and Flyspecker.com. Re-Entries agreed that it was a nice short transfer (entry).
