Brawley, Calif., is in Imperial county, was opened 15 Aug 1915 (transferred from San Diego County) and was still open.
Listed in California Town Postmarks 1849-1935 by John H. Williams, the postmark is IMP-220 which has an EKU (Earliest Known Use) of 9 Nov 1925 and did have a LKU (Latest Known Use) of 21 Jan 1932. Until we saw your cover, that is

Pretty sure the technical term is spooge.

I think the big question is, Where is 931 E. Palm Ave, San Gabriel, Cal? Everybody knows Palm Ave in San Gabriel is a North/South street.

This should be a thing! Post a photo of the addressee's house. By the way, wert, that's the house across the street from 931 AND you're on S Palm, not E Palm.
