Today I received a Scott International Part 2 I won on eBay last Friday. Looking at the title page I see it shows a copyright date of 1950. Does anyone know how many modifications Scott made to Part 2 over the years? What other copyright dates are out there for this one?

Mine has a 1953 date.
I know the writer of the Big Blue 1840-1940 blog usually compares printings of his Vol I and there is a difference. I can't say if there are any in Vol II but I bet there are.

The years I know of (based on the title page of a recent printing) are 1950, 1953, 1965, and 1979. I would guess that these could represent some editorial changes if Volume 1 edition dates are any indication. (Although one of these or a later year than 1979 could just mark whenever Volume 2 was split into two parts.)

Thank you both.

I was curious because I have seen what must have been an earlier incarnation of Part 2 that only included stamps through 1946. My assumption was that this was a basis for the expanded Part 2 that covers to 1949, but without having one of the earlier ones to check it's pretty much a guess.

I have pages from a part II from 1950 and from 1953. No significant changes that I recall offhand.

I have a part II copyrighted 1947 which has pages till 1946. I have another 1965 edition. As fas as I know the 1950, 1965 and 1979 editions made major changes to design and layout, mainly 1979 edition. Sorry I do not have better examples to share.
