Here is the 14 p value (Sc #436) from Guernsey's July 24, 1990 five-stamp set commemorating the 250th anniversary of Lord Anson's circumnavigation of the globe. Stamp depicts Philip Saumarez writing an entry in the ship log.

On December 1, 1966 Bahamas issued a three-stamp set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the UN's UNESCO organization. The 3c value (Sc #249) of the set focuses on education and uses a pen nib and letter blocks as representational images.

Here is the 2.10 fr value (Sc #1974) from France's April 29, 1985 two-stamp set for EUROPA, using the year's theme of "European Year of Music". Stamp depicts French writer, poet and musical composer Adam de la Halle (1240-1285).

Thanks. Here is the .45 euro value from Finland's October 29, 2004 Christmas set of two stamps. The image of the child writing the letter is a painting/illustration by children's book artist Martta Wendelin (1893-1986), whose photo is shown below.

This August 20, 1973, .60 mk stamp (Facit #732) of Finland commemorates the birth centenary of architect Eliel Saarinen (1873-1950). He is shown holding a pencil and dividers in his right hand.

On August 27, 1959 the USSR issued a two-stamp "School and Life" set. The one ruble value (Sc #2231) of the set depicts a night school teacher and her students, including the man in the foreground holding a pencil.

Here is the 2.50 kr value (Facit #905) from Denmark's September 4, 1986 souvenir sheet publicizing the HAFNIA 87 stamp show held in Copenhagen from October 16-25, 1987. Stamp depicts a circa 1840 seated postmaster holding a quill pen.

This June 12, 1973 40 pf stamp of Berlin commemorates the 200th anniversary of the death of flutist and composer Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773). A flute, musical score and a quill pen in an ink well are shown below the musician's portrait.

In 1939 Hungary issued a five-stamp set of semi-postal stamps for National Protestant Day, with the surtax used to erect an International Protestant Institute. The 20 + 10 filler value (Sc #B105) of the set depicts Albert Molnar de Szenczi (1574-1634) translating scripture from Latin to Hungarian.
