Polish Mum & Dad(now passed) had extreme love/bond towards the YANKS(their terminology) who FREED both from a German Labour camp.

Can any member assist translating the cancellation word on stamps please.?

It looks to me like Altmünster, a city in Austria. I believe the revenue stamp on the left is Austrian, as well, so that would be consistent.

Austria in the years 1938-1945 was part of the Third Reich. Stamps are German in German currency RPF Reichspfennig.

In the early days after the war, they sometimes used revenue stamps with quick overprints to have anything to put on official documents in Upper Austria. Maybe you could show the complete document, then it's easier to find the connection to Altmünster.

The right one is denazificated by the way - with a little black spot on the swastika. Those "Wertmarken" were used until 1954 ->

"Verwaltung Abgabe" is Administrative Fee. "Deutscher Gemeinden" is German Communities.
