Hello all

I recently (like 5 minutes ago) purchased this lovely stamp and I was wondering about plate placings and numbers etc. I would like to use this one as an example if thats ok and if possible and recieve a brief lesson on how one goes about such an endeavour? thanks in advance all opinions and advice gratefully accepted.
p.s. I have edited pic previous owner.

Edit: GB QV 1d red small crown wmk, perf 16 Die II - SG21

Once you know which alphabet the stamp is, go here:

http://www.gbps.org.uk/information/...tion-sheets/

On the left hand side you'll find the links to the various dies/alphabets. It's all to do with the positioning of the check letters.

Hope this helps

I had a look and I think it's plate 6. As I'm new to this, hopefully someone can confirm.
