Those who collect locals should check out this eBay page. They are being sold by Larry Lyons, who wrote the three volume book on the subject.

Thanks! Very useful. Somehow missed Lyons' presence on eBay.

I don't, but almost makes me want to start. Quite a variety.

Found two items I had to have. My first locals. Buying from Larry with PF certs. in his name is educational fun and security. Great tip.

His pricing is very good for this collector.

While I do not suggest any of Larry's items are anything but genuine, I would offer a general caveat to new collectors of this area: Be careful when buying uncancelled off-cover local stamps because there are so many forgeries. That being said, Larry and I have each collected forgeries for many years.

He and I restarted the Carriers and Locals Society after it went dormant a number of years ago - he became editor of the journal and I became president of the Carriers and Locals Society.

FYI-I know Larry well, and asked him about posting this before I did so.
