Hello everyone I hope all has been well with you, I have been away a while and missed the forum dearly! Right now I need help to identify an old cover, it is gold tone with a blue Franklin embossed on it. The watermark on the envelope is #6 (1882-86) with a large 82. There is also a notary seal on the envelope. I have looked for a envelope this color (GOLD) but I can't find one, can you help me to find this and identify it, photographs included. I tried my best to get the shade of the envelope so you could see it. THANKS MUCH!

Paper identification per Scott includes shades and tones of various colors used

Catalog number depends on identification of paper color

I believe your envelope may be a shade of one of the colors identified by Scott but your image doesn't reproduce the actual color. The blue in the image appears green on my computer. Here is a scanned image of one of my envelopes. Scanned images seem to be superior to photo images.

I'm going to vote for U116.

Based on it having a watermark number 6, it can further be identified as UPSS # 279-6 (size 7) or 282-6 (size 10).

The paper color is orange. There is no color "gold".
