According to an article:

two of the stamps have been withdrawn. Can anyone tell me based on what the article states which of the stamps has the name of God in Hebrew and which one has Talmud sections (the 7.40 Shekel one ?)

Thank you

Hi Dieter,
This set of stamps was issued 25/7/2006.

The three Hebrew letters in the centre of the hand just above the flower on the 2.5 NIS is Hebrew for "Shaddai" one of the names of God see

The 7.4 NIS contains a paragraph of text, so presumably this is the section from the Talmud referred to in the article.

The 1.5 NIS stamp has no Hebrew text as far as I can see.

You might also be interested in the 40c "The word of God" stamp issued by the Republic Of South Africa in 1987. This was withdrawn shortly after being delivered to post offices but before release at the request of the South African Jewish Community. A few of smaller post offices initially sold some of these stamps to the public, they have thus become a true South African modern rarity - listed in the Stanley Gibbons 2011 catalogue as 450 mint 550 used.

Thanks a lot for the insightful reply.

Yes, I would be interested in the RSA stamp. I know about it, thus far I always thought it was unissued "only". I was not aware that some post offices had already sold it before the withdrawal news was reaching them.
