It is. One of the "Fall in love with stamp collecting" slogan machine cancels used during National Stamp Collecting Month.



The octopus cancel was introduced in 1994 and used at dozens of cities in 1994 and in later years.

Hello. Working on my album and I found this cancel. I've not seen one like this and was not sure what to search. Your insight is appreciated.


What I found: Boston Massachusetts oval cancel. But wasn't sure if it was a specific type of cancel.
