I recently inherited my grandfathers collection of stamps and covers including this signed cover with sheet of six "Little America" Byrd Expedition 2 stamps and enclosed typed and signed letter. I am just trying to value it at the moment. Can anyone help? Thanks!

to the Family, vintage 109!

This is an example of the Postmaster General Favor First Day Covers.

James Farley sent many, many of these out to people over the course of his eight years as PMG. These are highly collectible, but not overly valuable.

A check on eBay will get you excited as Bill Langs has a slew of these listed for between $150 and $3,000.

Don't get too excited, however. If you check "SOLD" listings, the prices range around $10.00.

Given the fact yours is a souvenir sheet, I would be a buyer at around $20-$30 for it.

Because it is not rare as it he signed things all the time, including these at the national stamp exposition that year where he came to sign things for anyone who wanted his autograph, and because it is a bit grubby and the signature on the front is a little smeared (perfect condition is very important in stamp collecting), and the letter inside is a form letter I would think $10 might be a top end price for it.
