Scott 5036 (quilled paper heart) was issued in 2016. Initially it was printed with plate # S11111 (for SSP). Later it was reprinted with plate # B11111 (for BCA). The stamps from the two panes were supposedly identical with only the plate numbers being different. Now fast forward to late 2019. Scott includes a new tagging variety, 5036c, in their 2020 U.S. Specialized Catalogue. The difference 5036 has overall tagging while 5036c is printed on prephosphored paper. My initial thought was that S11111 was 5036 while B11111 was 5036c. But upon finally perusing the 2020 Scott, I find both plate numbers included under both entries. Is this a typo? Does anyone have any info about 5036 vs 5036c?

Look forward to reading responses.
To my mind, "overall tagging" and "prephosphored Paper" would one of the same thing.
Is there a difference in tag and phosphor?

Unfortunately I don't have the BCA version of this so I can't check it. As such I wasn't aware of the two tagging types for this issue.

Overall and Prephosphored Paper are different types of tagging. The "Tagging Types" tab on Tagging DB provides examples of each type.

I just noticed a typo with one of the examples. The second John Hopkins with the solid green tagging should be: Prephosphored coated paper, with surface tagging

I will work with Don to Fix.

Rod - overall tagging os applied after the printing ink, prephos is on the paper before the ink.

JL - I suspect your guess is correct and that Scott is off.
