I have researched all day (love puzzles and you've got one). Unfortunately, I have not uncovered the postmark or the city. Sorry

I think it is addressed to Peachtree State, Atlanta. According to Wiki there is a Peachtree Street in Atlanta

There are a number of performing arts venues in the state, among the largest are the Fox Theatre, and the Alliance Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center, both on Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta as well as the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, located in Northwest Atlanta.

It is going to Atlanta. The state in the cancel is Geo or Georgia. Not sure what the city is.

Social Circle GA is first listed in the USPOD 'Official Postal Guides' in 1874 and is still in operation today.
Anyone who is interested in postal history can download the entire run of them from the Stamp Smarter website. http://stampsmarter.com/learning/Home_USPOD.html
They are fully searchable. To make for blazingly fast searches across all of the downloaded PDFs, you can easily build a PDF index (.pdx file extension) in Acrobat. Once saved on your computer, it takes only about 30 seconds to search the entire run for key word(s).
