Magical Mystery Postcard #18 JP Hozdu Hozu River

Q/ What are these folks doing ?

If they're riding rafts, why are there so many, and why are the rafts tied together?

If they're assembling a footbridge, why is it aligned with (and not orthogonal to) the current?

If they're moving lumber, why is it bound into, well, rafts?

If they're farming fish, why are they doing it in a fast-moving river, instead of a nice, calm pond?

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey (who is hoping unechan will chime in with an answer)

Reminds me of trekking in the Golden Triangle, Northern Thailand 1980's
We spent some weeks living in a Hill Tribe village, then came down the Kok River, by raft, it was built onsite from large Bamboo.
Could it be Bamboo perhaps?

Good grief, Perf12, that postcard could be a frame from that video, which you got up in 12 minutes.

New SCF record ?

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey (who also thinks that the card could be showing bamboo versus logs)

What a great video!
I thought at the end, the raft would smash into the log bridge,
just sailed over it, the expertise was amazing.
