Hi all, I have a couple 2 Cents Washingtons here.. I'm not quite sure how to identify them (I already used the identification tool from 1847usa. All I know is that they don't look like an offset print and I can't find any watermarks (which doesn't mean there are none). They are all perforated 11. Is there any chance one of them could be a 461, 499, oder 546? I hope anybody could help me out and knows more about the different colours of these stamps. Thanks a lot!

Your images are too small and poorly lit to identify. You need to post larger, well lit closeup crystal clear images with no background to be
viewed properly. Although colors may vary, colors are irrelevant and
not a determining factor of any of these stamps

They could be 461, 499, 500 or 546 only, none are offsets.

You can download free paper gauges here
http://stampsmarter.com/learning/Ho...esForms.html
and cut them so that you can line them up to stamps on cover. Or you can get a US stamp with know perf gauge and use them to check those on covers. or you can purchased a transparent gauge.

The first photo stamps are all 499 if unwatermarked, the toga rope and button are far too weak to be anything else. 461 is watermarked, and 546 is a type III rotary; these are clearly not type III.

Thank you Don and Revcollector. I am very new to stamps so I am constantly second guessing myself. There are so many things to look for, color, size, mistakes. I have a few more if anyone wants to help identify.

These are really not that difficult to determine with the links that Don provided.
