Thanks John. Yes, on your Hartung cover I can see the breaks between the letters. It has the look of a typeset item.

The precision on GregAlex's cover is just incredible for a mass-produced, commercial envelope of that period, IMO.

My Hartung cover has contents dated April 26, 1873, so three years before John's. Any opinions on the "A" cork cancel?
