After over 20 years since CAPEX 1996, Canada CAPEX 2022 is coming.

CAPEX 22. Mark your Calendar! CAPEX 22 will be held 9-12 June 2022 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). The 28,000 sq. ft. Constitution Hall in the 100 level of the MTCC North building has been booked for CAPEX 22 along with 4 seminar rooms and 2 smaller meeting rooms. For comparison the Constitution Hall is 65% greater in size than a hockey rink ice surface yet only 15% of the floorspace of CAPEX 96.

That is exciting news, my hat off to those who ventured to make it happen. Thank you for sharing.

Some fond memories of CAPEX '96:

The cancellation station where people went wild using different dated show cancellation devices daily on their custom made philatelic cover concoctions.

Meeting distinguished philatelists like Hans Reiche, Wilson Hulme, Ken Lawrence, Ian Robertson and others.

Finding an obscure country presence with its CAPEX stamps and postmark device hidden at a new issue dealer.

Seeing how CBNC stamps were produced and perforated by a working perforator exhibit.

Hearing a postal history dealer tell me that he sold around $1 million in stamp covers at the show.

Seeing a large stuffed beaver at the Beaver Club lounge which I got a membership for.

Seeing a New Zealand new issue available that was later withdrawn and regretted not buying it.
