This guy tried extra hard to save this stamp its in bad shape to say the least but he did write z grill on the back do u see it.

Your stamp is from 1902, grills were only used in the 1860-70 range.

Umm that is incorrect it was also produced in 1867. Look it up alternativeinvestmentcoach.com

I have no idea about your reference, but I use Scotts. This is design A115 (Scott 300) which is listed as first produced February 1903.

Edit. Ok, I found that website, and they have the completely wrong picture. That is why you need to check your sources carefully. The appropriate picture should be A24, Scott 85A.

Go to the website mentioned above and scroll down to 85A. You will see the correct picture there. (You should probably consider getting some catalogs...)
