Hello everyone,

I've been trying to identify all the stamps in my collection that I've put aside as unsure of. Most are simple with a google search but I have one that has no information on it besides the number 2 and could really use some help. Anyone?

Austria, newspaper stamp. Issued 1908, Scott #P15. The stamp is normally imperforate, but a footnote at the end of the section where this stamp is listed says that they exist privately perforated. The denomination of 2 is 2 heller. From 1899 until 1925 the currency was 100 heller = 1 krone. From 1851 when the first ones were issued until 1916, none of the Austrian newspaper stamps had the name of the country printed on them, most, like yours had the head of the god Mercury, the winged messenger

Thank you both, rod222 and waddsbadds, for the information and the attached photos. I am still new with using the Scott catalogue and find some stamps trickier than others.
